As America approaches her 250th birthday, her future is hanging in the balance. Will she continue as a nation founded on Faith and Freedom, or will she succumb to the forces of post-modernism, socialism, and Marxism?
Her future is uncertain because she has lost touch with her past. Nations derive their sense identity from their history, which is why the Pulitzer Prize winning historian, Carl Sandburg wrote,
When a nation goes down, or a society perishes, one condition may always
be found; they forgot where they came from, they forgot what brought them along.
In 2010 I received a call from God to reconnect America to her overt Christian roots, which have been severed by modern, revisionist historians who ignore or diminish the role of faith and prayer in America's founding.
This call occurred at a time when I thought God was finished with America and I had given up hope that she would ever see another great, national spiritual awakening.
That all changed, however, with a 7-hour visitation from the Lord in which my hope for America was renewed and I saw that the Great Awakening, which began in 1726, had a direct bearing on the founding of the nation and the ending of slavery.
Out of that experience came a commission to recover America’s godly heritage and has led to the publication of several books, such as America's Revival Heritage, Pilgrims and Patriots, 1726: The Year that Defined America, Abolitionist Founding Fathers, and 5 Pillars of the American Republic. I have also created a PowerPoint presentation depicting these important and inspiring facts about America’s origins.
Here is the plan. America will celebrate her 250th anniversary this year on July the 4th, and there will be many events and celebrations leading up to that momentous day. I believe we we must seize this moment by making the most of the "1726 Project," whose goal is to show that 1776 would have never happened without 1726.
Between now and July 4th, I will be giving special attention to the above books and a new book that will be released in a few days. I am also making myself available for "Save America" events, which will involve the presentation of one or more PowerPoint presentations about America's overt Christian birth.
There are 5 presentations with each being approximately 40 minutes in length and entitled:
1. The Original American Vision
2. The Great Awakening and the Founding of America
3. The Great Awakening Impacts Slavery
4. A Nation Born in Prayer
5. America's Founding Fathers
